The Salami Board
Founder and Event Director
Carlo is a passionate Melbournian, advertising creative, film buff, ‘consigliere’ and salami maker. Carlo and best friend Marco Finanzio hatched the plan to create Melbourne’s first ever salami making competition and festa at an all night salami making session at his parent’s house back in 2009. It became a reality in 2012 and has gone from strength to strength every year. Carlo has been making salami with his family since he was a little boy and vividly remembers trips to country farms with his father and uncles annually to choose the pig that would belong to his family.
Carlo has a background in advertising and design and brings the visual and marketing brains to the festa as well giving interviews in Italian to anybody with an audio recorder.
Linda or ‘Lincat’ as she is known is the busiest woman in show business. An actress at heart, producer, pixie and salami maker, Linda is a long time friend of Carlo. The mix of Calabrese, Neapolitan and Northcote blood that runs through Linda’s veins makes for a very lovable, shrewd and deeply artistic personality.
Linda has a background in stand up comedy, festival and event management and has an infectious energy that can make the most hard working people feel lazy.
